Above-normal temperatures continue through the week
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Warm and dry conditions will dominate the region this week, with high temperatures climbing into the upper 80s and nearing 90 degrees in some areas like Yuma, El Centro, and Blythe.
High pressure over the Desert Southwest is responsible for the warming trend, with temperatures running about 15 degrees above normal for this time of year.
While skies will remain mostly clear, occasional high-level clouds may pass through.
By midweek, a weak weather disturbance will bring breezier conditions, particularly on Thursday.
Wind gusts could become more noticeable, potentially leading to elevated fire weather concerns due to the ongoing dry conditions.
Looking ahead to the weekend, temperatures will start to trend downward slightly as a shift in the weather pattern develops. However, rain chances remain very low.
Stay tuned for further updates as we track the changing conditions.
