An Excessive Heat Watch is set to land in the desert southwest starting this weekend

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - Near normal temperatures will prevail through Thursday,
with breezy to locally windy conditions continuing through this evening. As a high pressure system builds over the region by the weekend and persisting through the 4th of July, hotter temperatures will take hold with widespread highs between 110-115 degrees.
