Rapid moisture increase with slight rain chances

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - A surge of moisture increases across Arizona today, bringing humid conditions to Yuma counties.

Wednesday and Thursday is the greater potential for some showers and thunderstorms within our area.

Heavy rainfall potential is possible, but mainly for the higher elevations, there's a Flood Watch that will go into effect at 5 a.m. tomorrow for a portion of the La Paz county.

Temperatures are on the rise later this week as afternoon highs are expected to climb back into the lower triple-digits.

Heat risk will remain minor for the Desert Southwest.

However, temperatures will be above our seasonal average by the weekend.
