It’s a HOT Labor Day but cooler days are on the way

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Happy Labor Day! We will continue to deal with hot conditions with highs reaching near 112 or higher.

If you have any outdoor plans for Labor Day, make sure to stay cool and hydrate.

An Excessive Heat Warning will stay in effect for Southeastern California until 8 pm TOMORROW.

We will slowly start to increase in monsoonal moisture and we will have greater chances for rain showers and thunderstorms across the Desert Southwest later this week.

By the middle of the week, temperatures will start to decrease and we will be trending below-normal for the majority of this week.

Even though temperatures will be cooler we will feel very muggy and sticky.
