Temperatures are on the rise today

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Starting the week warm as today is expected to be the warmest day of the week. Our temperatures will climb into the upper 90s and be near the triple-digit mark. We will be above normal by 10-degrees our average is 87-degrees.

Winds will stay light today with winds of 10 to 15 MPH through the afternoon. Come the evening hours stronger winds will pick up in Imperial Valley with possible gusts of 25 MPH. By tomorrow both Yuma and Imperial valley is expected to experience windy conditions with wind gusts of 25 to 35 MPH.

Temperatures will be slightly cooler tomorrow but still staying pretty warm and above normal. We will have a brief cool down later this week before another warm up.
