News 11 Weather Authority: Warming begins

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Temperatures took a significant jump on this Thursday, as daytime highs increased by at least several degrees from the previous day to reach the high 80s.

High pressure from the South continues to strengthen as the latest trough begins to flatten and begins to lose it's cooling influence on our area.

We could begin to see 90 degree high temperatures make their return as soon as Saturday.

The warming trend could continue well into next week.
