First Alert Forecast: Here comes the heat!

Expect temperatures to climb to between 10 and 15 degrees above normal heading into the weekend

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) -  High pressure is in charge for the rest of the week. Across the lower deserts, high temperatures will soar well into the 90s each afternoon through at least Saturday under mostly sunny skies.   Portions of Southeast California and Southwest Arizona will approach 100 degrees on Friday and Saturday. Otherwise, a period of gusty winds is forecast along the Colorado River Valley Wednesday, and in the higher elevations north and east of Phoenix early Thursday. Much cooler weather appears to be in store by early next week.
