News 11 Weather Authority: Even keeled

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - As the latest strong weather trough rolls into the Midwest, the residual cool manages to keep our temperatures near average for this time of year.

Even though our mercury levels won't change much on Thursday, expect that to change as we roll into early days of the month of April.

A slow emerging ridge of high pressure will gradually elevate our temperatures into the high 80s starting this coming weekend.

The rise will culminate into the high 90s the following week.
