Gusty winds and temperatures starting to cool down

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Gusty winds are in our forecast for both Yuma and Imperial Valley. A Wind Advisory will go in effect from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. tonight for gusts up to 45 MPH. With the gusty winds, the Imperial County Air Pollution Control District issued a High Pollution Advisory for the Imperial County that will remain in place until 7 p.m. tonight.

Stronger winds will start to pick up in the Imperial Valley late this morning with wind speeds 25 to 35 MPH. Make sure to be aware of blowing dust and sand along with hazy skies.

Slightly cooler temperatures for today as we are starting to get closer to our normal temperatures the average is 73 degrees.

Starting later this afternoon and evening winds will start to pick up in Yuma areas. Winds will continue to remain strong in the Imperial Valley even through tonight. Calmer winds are expected by tomorrow along with cooler temperatures.
