Normal temperatures through the weekend before cool down next week

YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)- High temperatures through the weekend will be below 100 degrees before a cool down mid-next week.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), high temperatures this afternoon will top out near to slightly below normal while dry conditions persist.

Increasing high pressure into the weekend will lead to warmer temperatures and highs once again reaching near 100 degrees by Sunday.

The above normal temperatures are likely to last through next Monday before another cooling trend takes place through the middle of next week.

A large but dry area of low pressure aloft will move through the area early next week leading to a substantial increase in wind, especially Tuesday, as well as increased fire danger.
