Temperatures warm up for latter half of the week

YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)- High pressure will build across the western states through Friday, resulting in a warming trend and a return to above normal temperatures by Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the next chance for rain will be Saturday night and Sunday, particularly across southeastern Arizona as a low pressure system moves through the region.

Today sunny conditions will prevail with a high near 77. Wind from the East Southeast will come in at 5 miles per hour and eventually calm down in the afternoon.

Later tonight, clear conditions will prevail with lows around 53.

Temperatures into next week look to remain at or above normal readings with increasing rain chances by the middle of the week.
