Warm and sunny weekend expected before dip in temps

YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)- High pressure will build over the region through Saturday resulting in much warmer temperatures through the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the warmest day should end up being Sunday with lower desert high temperatures mostly in the middle to upper 70s.

A cold, but somewhat dry weather system will then affect the region on Monday bringing chances for rain across the deserts and rain and snow to higher terrain areas.

Temperatures will be quite chilly for the first half of next week with highs falling into the 50s and overnight lows in the 30s.
