Massive supercell loom over Cleveland area

(CBS, KYMA) - Storms and severe weather continued across the Cleveland area on Tuesday evening, with the National Weather Service (NWS) forecasting potential hail, wind damage, flooding, and tornadic activity.

Footage captured by Jeff Christner shows a massive cell structure drifting above Brooklyn, as well as the ensuing rain storm and accompanying lightning.

The NWS issued a severe thunderstorm warning and a flash flood warning for the area, warning citizens that "numerous roads would remain closed due to flooding."

"Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas," the NWS said.
