Heat continues to exceed moderate temperatures

KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Desert Southwest continues to make its presence known. This weekend won't reach triple digits, but it will be just below. Enjoy the weather this weekend because temperatures are going to blow by the 100°F threshold in a few days.

Temperatures are maxing out in the low-to-mid 90s today, and tomorrow will see similar conditions in that regard.

To reiterate, be prepared for the heat that is coming up next week as we are in an official extreme heat watch across our region.

Winds weren't too intense today, but that'll change as we head into tomorrow. Noon will roll around with wind gusts in the 20-25mph range through Yuma and Yuma Proving Grounds. During the same time, the Imperial Valley will be dealing with 15-18mph winds. These will continue into the evening.
