Winds persist through the weekend

KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - In what has turned into a stretch of several days now, the winds aren't going anywhere this weekend.

They will take a break overnight, but as for Saturday evening, they will remain in the 17-20 mph range. For Sunday, gusts will pick right back up into the 16-20 mph area. This is also expected to dial back into the late hours of Sunday.

As for our temperatures, we are back to moderate conditions in the Desert Southwest. For Saturday, just about all of our region is maxing out in the mid-to-upper 70s.

Heading into Saturday night, the region will see a major drop in Wellton, Tacna and Dateland where it will hit the low 40s. The rest of the Desert Southwest will hover right around 50°F Saturday night.

Temperatures on Sunday will be higher than Saturday, with the vast majority of the region hitting the mid-80s.

As we are currently tracking (Saturday afternoon), Dateland, Blythe, Quartzsite and Imperial are all expected to be a bit warmer and hit 87°F for max temps. Salton City will give a run for 90°F.
