Gusty winds and cooler air continue to move through the region

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Strong winds and cooler temperatures will be the main concerns Wednesday across Yuma and Imperial Counties, according to the National Weather Service in Phoenix.
A weather system moving through the Southwest is bringing gusty west to northwest winds to the region. Gusts between 30 and 45 mph are expected later in the afternoon, especially across open desert areas.
Blowing dust may reduce visibility at times, particularly in Imperial County. A Wind Advisory remains in effect through the afternoon.
Temperatures will be much cooler than earlier this week, with highs only reaching the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. Breezy conditions will make it feel even cooler.
Winds will gradually decrease this evening and overnight, with chilly morning lows dropping into the 30s and lower 40s.
Another weaker system will move through Thursday into Friday, bringing another round of breezy conditions and keeping temperatures below normal. No significant rainfall is expected for Yuma or Imperial counties.
Warmer and drier weather returns this weekend, with temperatures climbing back into the 70s Saturday and likely reaching the 80s early next week.
