Cloudier weekend in the Desert Southwest

KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - After bright blue skies covered the region, clouds are expected to roll into the area as we head into Saturday night and stick with us through Sunday morning. This will most likely clear out by Sunday afternoon.

Temperatures peak in the high 70s Saturday and will do the same for Sunday. Our overnight lows will be in the low 50s in most of the Imperial Valley, as well as Yuma and San Luis.

From Wellton to Dateland, temperatures are expected to drop into the mid 40s Saturday night. Ocotillo is trending warmer than the rest, staying in the upper 50s.

Wind gusts should remain adequately calm, for most of the weekend. Gusts will be at its highest on Sunday early afternoon, a precursor to what we are tracking for Monday, but will ease off heading into the evening hours.
