Winds persist, but the worst is behind us

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Winds in Yuma County are holding strong Sunday, and there's a good chance that continues heading into Monday.
The eastern side of our region will potentially experience 20mph winds Monday in the late afternoon.
As for the Imperial Valley, they will have slightly calmer winds over the next 24 hours. Expect gusts in the 10-14 mph range.
Temperatures peaked in the low 70s across the Desert Southwest, as was anticipated, but they should finally start to kick back up as we progress through the next several days. Hopefully, they get into the high 70s by Thursday.
Our lows at night will follow the same trend. As we are currently tracking, temperatures will dip to the low 40s for the next couple of days, but will begin to rise into the high 40s and low 50s as we get to the latter half of the work week.
