CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Snow falling in Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (CBS, KYMA) - The Downtown Buffalo skyline vanished behind a white veil as blowing snow impacted the metro area Monday.

Footage captured by Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz shows the wintry scene from the Edward A Rath County Office, which shows the outline of Old Erie County Hall.

"We finally have a winter storm in downtown Buffalo! Conditions are not great but we can handle it and the roads are good," Poloncarz wrote to X.

"A travel advisory is in effect for Erie County. No unnecessary travel is recommended and if you must travel please have a winter survival kit in your car," he added.
