CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Late-night snowfall blankets Seattle

(CBS, KYMA) - Snow came down on the Seattle metro area Friday, with the National Weather Service (NWS) reporting up to two inches of accumulation across the region.

Footage posted to X by Jeremy Boyce shows the snowfall.

"Closing in on two inches and the roads are completely covered," Boyce wrote.

The NWS had warned of freezing temperatures expected Friday night.

"Expect slick conditions as lingering roadway moisture from showers lead to black ice on side streets and untreated roadways," forecasters warned.
