CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Rain showers sweep tristate area

(CBS, KYMA) - Parts of Connecticut received residual rain showers as a frontal system moved through the tristate area Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Parts of the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut area were warned they could receive as much as a half-inch of rain by Wednesday afternoon.

Footage taken by Mark Chesner (@mchesner) shows rain in Trumbull, west of New Haven, Wednesday morning.

"Who put their April showers in my October morn?!" Chesner joked on X.

The showers were expected to taper off by Wednesday afternoon, leaving behind temperatures in the upper-50s and mid-60s Fahrenheit, the NWS said.
