Cooler temperatures, breezy conditions ahead

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - After another hot day Wednesday, relief is on the way for Yuma and Imperial Counties.

Highs are expected to cool into the mid-to-upper 90s by Thursday and Friday, dropping to slightly below normal for this time of year.

Winds will also be a factor, with gusts reaching up to 25 miles per hour this afternoon and again Thursday.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for parts of Imperial County Wednesday night through early Thursday morning.

Looking ahead, the weekend brings dry conditions and plenty of sunshine, with highs staying in the mid-to-upper 90s and overnight lows dipping into the upper 60s and low 70s.

Temperatures may rebound closer to 100 degrees early next week, but no rain is in the forecast for Yuma or Imperial Counties.
