CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Flash flooding hits Houston

HOUSTON (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - Flash flooding hit Houston, Texas, on Sunday, August 31, sparking an urgent warning from the National Weather Service (NWS).

Footage posted to Facebook by Linda Castillo shows a motorist driving through the floodwater, with waves rippling off the vehicle.

The NWS urged residents to move to higher ground and advised against walking or driving through floodwaters.

Showers and thunderstorms were also forecast for south-east Texas Monday.
