Dry weather continues across Yuma and Imperial counties, slight warm-up ahead

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Dry and quiet conditions continue across our area, with no rain in sight and below-normal temperatures holding on just a bit longer.

After a significant drop in moisture levels over the past 24 hours, the atmosphere over Yuma and Imperial counties now resembles more of a late spring setup, with dew points dipping into the 30s and 40s.

While parts of eastern Arizona may still see some isolated storm chances, our region will remain dry through the rest of the week.

Afternoon highs will gradually climb from the low 100s today to the 104–107 degree range by the weekend.

A minor heat risk is expected to return as temperatures trend slightly above normal by early next week.

Looking ahead, there are signs of monsoonal moisture returning to Arizona next week, but it's still uncertain whether that will reach far enough west to bring any activity to Yuma or Imperial County.
