Warm days, light winds, and dropping air wuality

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Thursday brought some early morning cloud cover to Yuma and the Imperial Valley, but skies have since cleared up and most of the area stayed dry.

Aside from maybe a drop here and there, we didn't see any real showers just some leftover moisture moving through from the south.

By Thursday afternoon, expect mostly sunny skies with temperatures topping out in the low 100s. It's still hot, but slightly below normal for this time of year.

Winds will stay light throughout the day, with the usual breezes picking up during the late afternoon hours.

As we move into the weekend, the forecast remains dry. Rain chances are near zero, and we'll see a gradual warm-up, with highs climbing to around 104 to 106 degrees by Saturday and Sunday.

With calmer conditions in place, air quality could drop slightly, especially in areas where dust lingers. Those with sensitivity issues should take precautions if spending extended time outside.

Overall, it's a quieter pattern settling in across the region warm, dry, and breezy with no big changes expected over the next few days.
