Below normal temps today before triple digit heat returns next week

YUMA COUNTY (KYMA, KECY)- Temperatures will remain below normal throughout the rest of the week before triple-digit temperatures return early next week.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), winds will be light outside of some typical afternoon breeziness.

Near normal temperatures can be expected Thursday through Sunday with highs well into the 90's in the deserts.

Significantly warmer temperatures can be expected for the next work week with highs climbing well above normal.

Later today, sunny conditions will persist with high temperatures sitting at 68 degrees.

Tonight, clear conditions with a low around 64 is expected.

West wind from 5 to 10 miles per hour will enter from the north northeast after midnight.
