Today is the coolest day of the week

YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)- Cooler temperatures can be expected today through the middle of the week as a dry weather disturbance slides through the region.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), this system will also bring a notable increase in winds and fire danger, especially across parts of southeast California and the lower Colorado River Valley.

Calmer and very seasonable weather will return by the end of the week, as temperatures return closer to seasonal normals.

Clear skies are expected tonight with a low around 60. Breezy conditions will persist with a west northwest wind 15 to 20 mph becoming west 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
