Sunny skies expected for this weekend

YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)- A warming trend will continue into the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the trend will begin to reverse on Sunday over southeast California and southwest Arizona but with little change over south-central Arizona.

A much more distinct change in the weather pattern begins Monday as a low pressure system slowly moves across southern California and Arizona the first half of next week.

This will lead to cooler temperatures and good chances for precipitation. The best opportunity for accumulating rainfall should occur on Monday and Tuesday, but could linger over parts of south-central Arizona through Wednesday or Thursday.
