The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch that has been issued in portions of southwest Arizona and southeast California.
The following areas affected include southwest Arizona; Central, La Paz County, Gila River Valley, Kofa, Parker Valley, Southeast Yuma County, and Yuma. In southeast California, areas like Chuckwalla Mountains, Chuckwalla Valley, Imperial Valley, Palo Verde Valley, and Southeastern Imperial County.
The watch is in effect from now through Wednesday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service, a series of storm systems will bring widespread showers and thunderstorms to parts of southeast California and southwest Arizona through Wednesday afternoon. The strongest cells will be able to produce periods of heavy rain, which can lead to flooding of washes and small streams.
