YUMA, Ariz., (KYMA, KECY) - The 1st episode of excessive heat in Imperial County is wrapping up, with a potential heat let-down in the works.

The large dome of high pressure in the West should weaken a little bit over the weekend, with a low pressure disturbance having it's effect on our area from Sunday through Tuesday.

Beyond that, the ridge should be able to recover and strengthen by the end of next week.
