The L.A. Lakers survive against Stephen Curry and Golden State thanks to a late three by LeBron James

LOS ANGELES, Calif. ( KYMA , KECY-TV ) - On Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Golden State Warriors at the Staples Center. It wasn't a regular season game nor was it a playoff game. It was part of the NBA's new "play-in" series to determine the final two playoff sports. The #7 seed plays the #8 seed with the winner getting the #7 seed. The loser, plays the winner of the #9 versus #10 seed to determine what team gets the final playoff spot and #8 seed. The Lakers held off Golden State with a late three pointer from Lebron James. The Lakers nab the #7 seed and now travel to #2 seed Phoenix. Game one starts on Sunday.
