YUMA, Ariz., (KYMA, KECY) - Extra cool air lingers for another day, as we are now on the back end of a strong upper level low that gave us a dramatic temperature drop.

But, that may prove to be the last breathe of the Winter season that has long since passed us by.

A Summertime high pressure ridge is starting to build in from the West, and it's effects will be felt starting on Wednesday.

We should feel a sharp temperature climb that will surge our daytime mercury numbers up to 105 degrees by Friday,.

This potential excessive heat episode could last through Saturday.
