Threat of Mexican cartel scams continue in Yuma

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY)- The Yuma Police Department (YPD) alerts the community of a continuing scam.

YPD says a man calls local businesses claiming to be part of the Mexican Cartel.

He then threatens to send two armed men if their demands are not met.

YPD advises the community to not answer any phone calls from numbers that you do not recognize, especially if they are from out of the country.

If you answer, make sure you do not give any personal information.
