Auto Warranty Calls Will be Coming to an end

(KYMA,KECY/CNN) - If you've ever received a robot-call saying "we've been trying to reach you concerning your car's extended warranty."  You're not alone.

The FCC said Thursday United States Telecom providers will be required to block millions of those robot-calls every day.

The order targets a group of 13 individuals and 6 companies specifically.

That group is accused of sending more than eight-billion messages advertising extended vehicle warranties since 2018.

Most of those calls are considered illegal under the US law.

These calls have been the number one consumer complaint to the FCC for the past two years.

Companies that continue to allow the illegal calls could face penalties.
