Beer tastes bad on purpose to highlight climate change

(KYMA, KECY/CNN) - A new beer tastes bad on purpose.

'Fat Tire' released what it calls 'Torched Earth Ale' which is meant to raise climate awareness. The brewery says it is made with low-quality ingredients that brewers might be forced to use in the future. The result, it tastes terrible.

For example, instead of fresh hops- it used hop extracts and dandelions.

Fat Tire says it wanted to make the point that climate change also affects beer lovers everywhere.

'Torched Earth Ale' continues a commitment to climate change for the company.

Last year, Fat Tire became "America's first certified carbon neutral beer."
