Loud eating ranked as Americans most irritating sound

(KYMA, KECY/NBC News) - If hearing someone chew drives you crazy, you're not alone.

A new survey from soundproofpros.com finds Americans rank loud eating as the number one most irritating sound.

Cultery scraping on plates and cracking knuckles took the second and third spot.

The next were clearing the throat and dogs barking.
