Disney World raises ticket prices

(NBC, KYMA) - A trip to the happiest place on earth is about to get a little more expensive. Disney is raising prices on tickets and annual passes at both Disney World and Disneyland.

Newly released pricing for the 2017 holiday season at Disney World shows a one-day, one-park ticket to Magic Kingdom during peak season could cost as much as $229.

According to USA Today, that's $20 more than this year.

Annual pass prices at Disney World are also going up, with increases ranging from $10 to $120, depending on the pass tier, and the price hikes are not limited to Florida.

At Disneyland in California, middle-tier and park-hopper tickets are increasing by $5 to $10, depending on the date.
