Tops mass shooter in court

BUFFALO, NEW YORK (NBC,KYMA) - On Friday, Gendron, who killed ten black people at Tops supermarket in 2022, returned to court as attorneys work through final details ahead of his upcoming trial.

Jury selection for buffalo mass shooter Payton Gendron's federal capital trial is just one month away.

During oral arguments prosecutors and the defense proposed making changes to some of the language in the jury instructions.

Honorable Judge Lawrence Vilardo ruled that during Gendron's capital trial there will be an overflow room at the federal courthouse that includes a livestream for the victims families and the general public who want to follow the trial.

Gendron is due back in court on July 23rd.
