Valente wins omnium, historic U.S. track cycling gold

USA’s Jennifer Valente won the scratch and point races to capture the omnium with 124 points, defeating reigning world champion Kajihara Yumi of Japan to become the first U.S. woman to win gold in Olympic track cycling.
