Hamedi DQ’d for kicking too hard; Ganjzadeh wins kumite gold

Saudi Arabia’s Tareg Hamedi was disqualified from the kumite gold medal bout for a kick to the neck that was deemed too hard. Though he was incapacitated, Iran’s Sajad Ganjzadeh was awarded the kumite gold medal.
