Yuma Police Department unveils new vehicle wraps

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma County Anti Drug Coalition (YCADCC) continues to spread drug-free awareness in our local schools.

The Yuma Police Department (YPD) unveiled its new vehicle graphic wraps on Friday donated to them by YCADC.

The decals feature iconic landmarks in our community, schools in which they serve, and the message: "Say no to drugs."

Ernesto Mosqueda, a Student Resource Officer (SRO) at Yuma High School, says, "It shows the high school logos, the Ocean-to-Ocean Bridge. So basically, we're one community all helping each other out."

Ryan Butcher, the Vice Chair of YCADC, adds, "That's what it's all about. Celebrating our town and our community and doing what we can to keep it safe."

Over 10 patrol cars received the makeover and will be used by YPD SROs at our local high schools and middle schools.
