Cafecito hosts Mother’s Day Brunch

KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Families across Yuma County attended a Mother's Day brunch hosted by a local coffeehouse.

Cafecito held the brunch at 9 a.m. Sunday, and featured a variety of food items, like Breakfast Sopes and Horchata French Toast Casserole.

There was also live music from DJ Rude, and Cafecito's co-owners, Ashley and Travis Krizay, said there was a long line outside the coffeehouse before it was open.

The brunch was honor of Mother's Day, which is celebrated on the second Sunday of May, and the Krizays shared why they hosted the brunch.

"This is something special we do. It's a great day to honor moms and we appreciate them all out there. We all have one," Ashley explained.

"We've always been just such a welcoming place to families, so it's popular with moms," Travis added.

The brunch lasted until 1 p.m.
