Lunar New Year to welcome Year of the Horse

(CNN, KYMA) - Lunar New Year celebrations kick off Tuesday as the Year of the Horse begins.
Billions of people worldwide will join the 15-day Spring Festival. It's widely considered the most important event of the year in China and Chinese communities around the world.
Celebrations vary depending on the country or region, but there are a few common traditions.
Some of them include a big dinner with family, cash gifts in red packets for kids, and deep cleaning the home to get rid of bad luck from the past year.
The horse is one of twelve Chinese zodiac signs, represented by animals, in the Lunar New Year calendar cycle.
