Americans expected to spend $29 billion for Valentine’s Day

(CNN, KYMA) - The National Retail Federation (NRF) expects Americans will spend $29 billion this Valentine's Day.

According to the NRF's annual survey, shoppers are budgeting nearly $200 for gifts.

This includes gifts for romantic partners, family members, children's classmates and teachers, co-workers, and pets.

Candy remains the most popular Valentine's Day gift followed by flowers, cards, a night out, and jewelry.
