San Francisco’s Botanical Garden hosts Lightscape Exhibit

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS, KYMA) - A holiday display is painting San Francisco's Botanical Garden in a whole new light.

The Lightscape Exhibit is a mile-long, illuminating experience full of colors, music and more than a million twinkling lights.

Artists created water lillies, giant dragonflies, and transformed a straberry tree into a neon one as part of the fun.

Organizers say the light show is a holiday hit, drawing more than 100,000 visitors already.

"This is really about highlighting the beauty of plants and nature across a couple of different iconic gardens around the world…This is the first year that we brought Lightscape to the San Francisco Botanical Gardens. We have had an exceptional reception and we'll be bringing Lightscape back next season in a totally different way."
