YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Local singers will have a chance to showcase their talent in a contest.

The Yuma Times announced a singing contest open to locals ages 12 and up.

Auditions will be at Brush It Art Studio, Unit B (245 S Main St.) on April 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event is to celebrate the arts within the community and showcase local talent.

"We are excited to bring this event to Yuma County and provide a stage for our local talent," said Mario Hernandez. "The Singing Contest is not just about competition; it's about building a supportive community where young artists can express themselves and grow."

Participants are encouraged to arrive early to complete check-in, and anyone under 18 requires parental consent.
