City of Somerton to host Fourth of July ‘Retro Celebration’
SOMERTON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The City of Somerton will celebrate the Fourth of July early this year.
The festivities will take place on Saturday, July 1 with a "Retro" concert, including a "Queen" tribute band.
You can also enjoy food, a playground for kids, and fun for the entire family.
There will also be reserved areas for kids with special needs.
"We're going to have music by Grupo Alazan, Kings of Queens are a tribute to Queen and we're going to close our event Con La Banda Machetera featuring Pato Machete from Control Machete. Our fireworks will be at 9:30 p.m. and our famous water balloon fights will start at 7:30 p.m.," stated Somerton Special Events Coordinator Brissa Garcia.
Once again, the "Retro" Fourth of July is on Saturday, July 1 starting at 6 p.m. at Council Avenue Park in Somerton.
