YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - It’s time to meet our pet of the week for all you dog lovers, this lovable pup could be the one for you.

Meet Dottie, a 6-year-old female shepherd who loves people.

The Humane Society of Yuma (HSOY) picked Dottie as the pet of the week because she’s in the need of a forever home.

What makes Dottie special is she loves to play, go on walks and is also house trained.

Dottie gets along okay with other dogs but would do best in a home without other pets.

She is very much into routine and needs a structured home with predictable activities and not a lot of change.

HSOY is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
