YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - It's time to meet our pet of the week for all you dog lovers this lovable pup could be the one for you.
Meet Ruby! Ruby is a 4-year-old female mixed breed, Ruby is a playful pup who has lots of energy.
The Humane Society of Yuma (HSOY) picked Ruby as the pet of the week because she’s in the need of a forever home.
What makes Ruby special is the Humane Society uses Ruby's playfulness to test how other dogs will interact with each other.
Ruby has an excellent temperament towards other dogs and would do great in a home with another dog who has the same level of energy.
Ruby doesn’t quite know how to play fetch yet but she will chase down a ball and bat it around.

HSOY is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
