Holtville Vikings are victors in first IVL matchup since 1959, Imperial remains undefeated, Antelope tops San Pasqual in Telegraph Pass Cup

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - CBS's Varsity Blitz Week 8 had plenty of high school football action across the Desert Southwest.

In one of the regions most storied rivalries, the Antelope Rams came out on top against the San Pasqual Warriors in the Telegraph Pass Cup.

The Imperial Tigers made light work of the Calexico Bulldogs 34-6 and move to 8-0, while holding the top spot in the Imperial Valley League at 2-0.

Calexico finds itself at the bottom, still looking for its first league win and sitting at 3-3 on the season.

Staying in the IVL, Holtville made its return - last playing in the conference in 1959 - in big fashion, beating Central 32-27.

Holtville is on pace to challenge Imperial for the IVL crown while Central seems to be on the outside looking in this year after two close losses.
